Well since my last blog we lost poor old Mikesh our Marmalade Cat, he was a pure gent in every sense of the word. He came to us as a very young Cat very hungry and frightened. He quickly made friends with Lucky our only home grown cat who was the same age. Sadly Lucky disappeared last year too. I guess he may have been hit by a car also. That leaves us with three female Cats. Miss Tibbles is the matriarch, she has only one eye and lives indoors all the time. She molts like mad which drives my wife mad, but she loves us and is almost like a dog, she rolls over when she sees you coming and almost talks to you. You can almost tell her mood by the noises she makes. She snores quite loudly too, but she makes sure the other two knows whos boss when she is awake. She has her own Cat Condo and Scratching post which neither of the other two would dare go near.

Then there is Fudge a lovely Tortoiseshell who also adopted us as a near starved and lonely young cat. We really are suckers for waifs and strays. Finaly we still have squeak who is the oldest cat, the mother of Lucky but also the shyest and most timid. She arrived her again as a young Cat barely able to make a noise with only half a tail. I am sure she was badly mistreated as a kitten. She still can only squeak but this year she has started to stay in the house more and more.

Anyway, Thats the updaye on our Cat Family, I hope you have enjoyed my update and I will try and be more consistent in future. CATFURNITUREWORLD BLOG 2

Hi, My name is Angus also known in MySpace and Twitter as CatFurnitureMan. In my first blog I told you all about how I got into cats and then selling Cat Furniture to the USA market through our site www.catfurnitureworld.com. The site is virtually finished just a few items to load up and finish.

Poor Mekesh our Marmalade Tabby is out of sorts at the moment, since Lucky disappeared recently he has been the main man. Well until another marmalade Taby started to hang around. Poor Mekesh feels is territory is threatened and has taken to spraying everything in site. Poor fellow. Unfortunately this has led to a ban from the house as he did not care whether he sprayed indoors or outdoors.

He is neutered so at least there is not a tomcat stink everywhere but if anyone has any solutions to the problem I would love to know. He is really a gentleman cat and it would be nice to allow him back inside.

Hi My name is Angus also known as CatFurnitureMan and this is my first blog. Why the strange name you may ask? Well there is a bit of a tale to it and I hope you like it.

It all started 32 years ago when I was in my first year of secondary school (High School) in Ireland. Well my history teacher was a fierce creature and I wanted to be on her good side. One day she told us her cat had had a kitten and did anyone want one. Well my hand shot up immediately. Little did I know what was in store for us.

I inherited a little black fluffy ball who I named Lucky. Lucky turned out to be a girl and had a great time with the Toms. So before we knew it we had loads of cats. That was in the days before neutering was common.

Anyway fast forward too a few years ago, another ball of fluff appeared down at my marina hungry and scared with the tip of its tail missing she did not meow she squeaked, so she became Squeak. Being the sucker I am we took her in. We decided to wait till she was bigger before we sent her to the vet. We waited to long and we ended up with another ball of black fluff which my kids named Lucky.

A few months later and a ginger cat turned up have starved on the doorstep, we could not leave him to die so we had three cats now, and he is called Mekesh. He is a gentleman cat and is so polite. We brought all three to the vet and had them neutered.

Next a tortoiseshell cat turned up, half starved and yowling with hunger, she was called Fudge. Now, we live in the country so all out cats lived outside, however that was going to change with the arrival of Miss Tibbles a grey and white female dominant cat with one eye and the ugliest face. We began to suspect people were dumping their unwanted cats with us. Anyway, Miss Tibbles was so sick we had to keep her indoors and she has never moved out since.

As she recovered she did what every cat does if they have nothing better to do. She scratched the furniture. I bought a cat scratching post at a local store and that started my interest in Cat Furniture. This has grown to a point where I now have a website called www.catfurnitureworld.com where we sell and ship for free all kinds of Cat Furniture to continental USA. We will be starting a European site soon.
